Dr. Nancy Miller grew up on a farm in Chaska, Minnesota where exposure to farm births and deaths led to an awe and wonder of life. This led to her fascination with the study of human life for health advancement. She has been in general medical practice for 28 years with practice focus on an integrated medical approach. This approach extends beyond human physiology and pathology into human psychology and spirituality. Medical Doctorate was received in 1988 at the University of Minnesota Medical School.

Internship and Residency for Anatomic and Surgical Pathology was at St. Paul Ramsey Hospital. Additional training was received in psychology in 2006 after losing her physician husband to lung cancer in 2004. She became Specialty Board Certified in Hospice Medicine in 2016. She has been a member of the Heartland Hospice and Home Care team since 2013, and currently serves as Medical Director of Heartland Hospice in Rochester, St Cloud, and Brainerd, Minnesota. She speaks for church, community and youth groups on preventative health care and end of life issues.
