Presenter Kate LePage (Central MN Safe Harbor Regional Navigator), will be presenting on important concepts surrounding the topic of sex trafficking in Minnesota. In this training participants will hear facts pertaining to both victims and survivors, giving participants an in-depth look at sex trafficking in Minnesota. After diving into the facts about commercial sexual exploitation we will take a hard look at the impact that these types of trauma have on a victim/survivor, and how that relates to the ways in which we work with this population in a professional space.

Participants in this workshop will learn:

• An overview of the Safe Harbor Law,

• What trafficking and exploitation is and what it looks like in MN

• How to identify victims/survivors and red flags

• Relationship dynamics
